Shonen Jump+the online manga platform from the folks at Shueishacelebrated its first decade of existence last September. Now it has announced that three celebrated anime studios will produce anime adaptations of some of its one-shot manga titles.
Said studios are ContrailProduction I.G and Wit Studioeach of which will animate a one-shot published in theuhvirtual pages of Shonen Jump+. No word on which studio is handling which one-shot yet.
The whole thing is being led by JOENthe company established by CloverWorksWitShueisha and Aniplex back in 2022.
The official comment released about the project readsin part:
Shonen Jump+ has published a large number of one-shot manga: over 2000. Why so many? There are many reasonsbut one of them is that we want to discover the talents of manga artists. Many new artists have tried their hand at one-shots and have shared their pure feelings and passion for manga. Nowthat talent will be further polished by the talents of the animation worldand by powerful studiosno less. The resulting animation is sure to be great!
