Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, the latest anime adaptation of the long-running Rascal series, hits screens July 5.
That's the word from a new promo video for the series, which also previews the show's ending theme song. That song is called "Suiheisen wa Boku no Furukizu" ("the horizon is my old wound"), and it's performed by series characters Uzuki Hirokawa, Ikumi Akagi, Sara Himeji, and Tōko Kirishima.
We've also got some new cast announcements: Konomi Kohara plays Sara Himeji, Manaka Iwami plays Miori Mito. As previously announced, Reina Ueda plays Miniskirt Santa aka Tōko Kirishima aka… well, you'll have watch to learn the whole story.
The latest season adapts the light novel series' university arc.
Soichi Masui directs, with Masahiro Yokotani on series composition, Satomi Tamura on character designs and fox capture plan on music for the CloverWorks production.
Yen Press publishes the novels and describes the first volume:
