HIDIVE plans to stream Call of the Night Season 2, which was recently confirmed for July. Now that timing has been narrowed down to a July 4 premiere date, and the news came with a new cast member and key visual.
The latest voice actor to join the cast is Maaya Uchida (Guild Girl in GOBLIN SLAYER), who will play a nurse named Haru Nakanusa. Check out her design and the new visual below.
The Call of the Night anime is directed by Tomoyuki Itamura, alongside chief director Tetsuya Miyanishi, who previously worked on Josee, The Tiger and the Fish. The scripts are written by Michiko Yokote of Bleach and Cowboy Bebop. Character design falls to Haruka Sagawa of Happy-Go-Lucky Days.
Kotoyama's original manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump during the summer of 2019. In Japan, the compiled volumes are published by Shogakukan. VIZ Media releases the manga in English, and gave this description of it:
"Nanakusa is a vampire. That's okay with human Ko. He wants to be one too. But transformation doesn't come that easily…
